| In 1997, Ed compiled his hikes into a book and titled it, 1,001 Hikes to Mt. LeConte and Counting. Proceeds from the sale of the book were donated to the Friends of the Smokies. The book sold out and is currently unavailable. |
| Ed submitted a copy of his hiking journal, through hike 1267, to
the Great Smoky Mountains Natural History Association. If the book is re-printed, it would be sold through Park stores and the proceeds from the sale would go to the
