April 21, 2009 **************************************************************************************************************

The next planned hike by the Wright crew up the Alum Cave Trail to the LeConte Lodge is set for Saturday June 20, 2009. Our hike is planned with My Son Robert and his sons Austin (11 minus one day) and Charlie (9 minus about two weeks) and daughter Peggy (39 again). We plan to stay in Cherokee, NC Friday Night and arrive at the Alum Cave Trailhead by 7:00 a.m. The following day. June 21st is the summer solstice, (Longest daylight day of the year), as well as Austin's 11th birthday.

Anyone wishing to join us come prepared for possible rain and a very slow hike to the LeConte Lodge and back.
