Dear Mr. Wright,

On Friday, November 4, 2005, Jennifer Plaskett, Denise Longie, Laura Paschal, Ann Mather, Cindy Choate, Janet McNaughton, Debbie Winter and Ann Jacobs hiked the Alum Cave Bluff trail to the Lodge and back.

We started out around 7:15a.m. in the morning and reached the Lodge around noon. We met several people coming down and would ask how much farther we had to go. The answer was always its just right around that next turn. We stopped to take pictures and have a drink of water several times along the way. We did a lot of oohing and awing also. We dressed in layers, so we had to shed some clothing along the way also. The weather was beautiful the whole day.

We ate lunch at one of the picnic tables outside the lodge. A couple of squirrels came to visit us and get a few crumbs. Janet and I each bought a sweat shirt. We ate and rested about an hour and then started back down the mountain.

We arrived back in the parking lot around 5:00.  Aside from a few blisters and sore muscles, it was a very enjoyable experience for all of us.  There is a twenty year span in our ages with the youngest being forty-two and the oldest sixty-two, and we all made it up and down the mountain. I hope you are feeling better.

Sincerely,

Ann Jacobs

Dear Mr. Wright,

This is an addendum to the Ann Jacobs posting of November 4, 2005.  I've attached pictures of our "Estrogen Trip."  So named because it was a women's only trip to challenge and bond.  We did both.  I highly recommend it to other ladies visiting this website.

Sincerely,

Ann Mather
